Misplaced Series

Eleven New York City landmarks have been misplaced, their current location unknown. Photographs of unclear origin appear to show them scattered across the globe – on sand dunes, mud flats, “lunar” plains, and rocky beaches. Nobody knows exactly what happened or why. Did they act of their own volition? Was there foulplay involved? What does it all mean? Stories trickle in from the future, from architects, online reviewers, and the buildings themselves, but these only add to the confusion. Your curiosity and help is much appreciated.

One Month Off - Indonesia

Backpack, camera and two tickets — one to Jakarta and one back home a month later, the rest is up for adventure. The following set of photographs is a result of one month spent traveling in Indonesia; a diverse, remarkable, charming and sometimes lost country in South East Asia. Lush nature, hospitable people, fascinating culture, it gave much more that ever was expected. "One Month Off— Indonesia" is an interactive travel photo magazine that highlights the journey across Indonesia that took a month and covers 8 islands. Each location is presented with photography and a short story.

Postcards from Peru

The incredible Inca civilization lived in harmony with the rivers, the sun, the rain, the ocean, the jungle and the mountains. A trip to Peru takes you back in time, but its complex history and culture cannot be surmounted in an entire lifetime. During my month in Peru I travelled through 4 different climates—from the Pacific Ocean and desert of Mancora, to the long forgotten rubber kingdom of Iquitos in the Amazon jungle, to the bustling coastal metropolis of Lima, and finally all the way to the last capital of the Incas in the high Andes.

Jericoacoara - Dunes of Ceará

It was a long journey. It took around 24 hours to get to this place near the equator from New York. 10 hour flight to Sáo Paulo, Brazil, connection and then 4 hour flight to Fortaleza up North. The driver met us at the airport and headed another 5 hours West to state of Ceará. I was exhausted and fell asleep in the car. It was already pitch dark when I woke up at the back seat of 4x4 off-road Toyota. The car was standing in the middle of the beach, with Atlantic ocean on one hand and desert on the other one. Though it was dark, full moon lid up the whole surreal scene. The driver looked back where I was sitting, smiled with a happy Brazilian face, turned off the all the lights and pushed gas pedal all the way down. We were flying through the beach 100 km/h sliding a little bit left and right on the sand. But I did not realize where I ended up until I woke up the next morning...

Aircrafts

I have been always fascinated by airplanes, airports and everything to do with travel. Every time I am off to the airport, I have my camera in my bag not only to capture my travel time, but to take shots right before take off and landing. This site is a collection of aircraft photographs that I took at various locations around the world.
